D-Day Plus 60 Years

This personal narrative centers around the 77th Troop Carrier Squadron and G company of the 501st Parachute Infantry Regiment and their respective D-Day experiences. During World War II, soldiers were pulled from unlikely ranks of young boys and taught how to pilot an aircraft into battle or to parachutte from a plane into territories unknown. Sadly, during the Invasion, most troops never saw another day. McLaughlin takes you not only on the journey of those G.I.'s but also on a more personal quest to find what happend to his uncle and the survivors of the tw regioments on D-Day 56 years later.
