Women Who Fly

Against the odds, women sought out pilots who would give them flying lessons. Many, like Harriet Quimby, Matilde Moisant, Ruth Law, and others, demonstrated that women have the skills, courage, and determination to fly. The pioneering spirit carries through to the present, influencing women such as astronauts Sally Ride and Eileen Collins, as well as a new generation of airline and military pilots.
